Lockridge Arena
Located inside of the Student Recreation Center (17th and Elm Street), Lockridge Arena serves as the home for the Oredigger men's and women's basketball and volleyball teams. The 3,000-seat arena contains three full basketball and volleyball courts with the bleachers retracted.
Locker rooms for all three teams are located just off the court along with a training room, study and lounge area, and film review room.
In addition to hosting packed crowds for Mines basketball and volleyball, Lockridge Arena has hosted numerous major events, ranging from a presidential campaign rally for then-Senator Barack Obama in 2008 to sold-out talks by world-renowned scientists Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Bill Nye, and Michio Kaku. The arena also hosts winter Commencement exercises for Mines as well as other special events and gatherings. Lockridge Arena has twice hosted the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball South Central regional tournament, with Mines winning in 2016-17.
