Weight Rooms
Mines Athletics has two weight rooms located in Korell Athletic Center and Volk Gymnasium, totaling more than 10,000 square feet of varsity-only training space.
The state-of-the-art McKee Weight Room in the Korell Athletic Center, opened in 2015, features more than 5,400 square feet of space containing Sorinex racks and free weights along with cardio equipment. Each Sorinex rack features flush-mounted platforms. Ceiling-mounted TVs and an embedded sound system are included in the room along with office space for strength and conditioning.
The Volk Gym weight room houses 5,000 square feet of Hammer Strength and Life Fitness equipment including rack, free weight, machine, and cardio areas. The room is located on the second floor of Volk Gym.
