GOLDEN – With a wintry mix set to arrive in the Golden-area later today, today's softball doubleheader between Colorado School of Mines and Black Hills State at CSM Softball Field has been cancelled, athletic department officials announced early Saturday morning.

Temperatures at the field are not expected to reach above 25 degrees until late this afternoon.

Mines (7-6, 3-1 RMAC) is back in action March 7-8 against RMAC preseason favorite Colorado Mesa at Bergman Field in Grand Junction. The Orediggers open the four-game road trip at 12 p.m. Saturday.
