Adam Hickle has been the Director of Intramural Sports for Colorado School of Mines since January 2018 after serving as the Intramural & Club Sports Coordinator since May 2015. Before working at Colorado School of Mines, Adam worked as the Intramural Sports Coordinator at the University of Vermont.
Adam began his officiating career as a softball umpire during high school. He has also gone on to officiate High School football and basketball. Adam truly found his passion for sports and interest in pursuing a career in campus recreation by being an Intramural Sports official at Colorado State University and getting involved with NIRSA Extramural tournaments. He has helped to officiate Regional and National flag football tournaments, as well as serve as an officials clinician for multiple Regional flag football and basketball tournaments.
Adam has made a big impact during his time here at Mines. Adam has implemented an All Student Officiating program for the Intramural Sports department. This has helped to save the department money and provide more job opportunities for students. Along with implementing all student officials, he has created opportunities for student officials to earn PA credit for officiating Intramural Sports. He has also created the annual Go Global Indoor Soccer tournament which highlights International students here at Mines. The event is put on every year in conjunction with International Education week. Â
Adam earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science from Colorado State University in 2013. He currently resides in Englewood.   Â
