Colorado School of Mines Athletics

Charles O'Dell returns for his 14th year at the Colorado School of Mines in 2016-17. O'Dell, who previously served as the Program Assistant, was named Assistant Director of Athletics - Business and Event Manager in the spring of 2010.

Prior to his arrival at Mines, O'Dell spent one year as the Program Assistant at Metro State (2002-03). O'Dell, who served as the sports information director at Metro during the spring of 2001, also spent one year as the event coordinator for Auraria Higher Education (2001-02).

O'Dell began his collegiate career at Mesa State where he played baseball for the Mavericks during the 1995 season. After transferring to Metro State, O'Dell earned his undergraduate degree in Human Performance Sports & Leisure Studies (HPSL - emphasis in secondary physical education) in 2000.

A graduate of Aurora Central High School, O'Dell played baseball during his prep career.

O'Dell makes his home in Golden.
