Heather Hamilton joined the Mines staff as Director of Fitness in the Student Recreation Center in January 2019.
Heather earned her B.S. in Kinesiology from Indiana University in 2011 before earning her M.S. in Applied Health Science in 2013, also at Indiana. She has been teaching Group Fitness and Personal Training since 2007, where she began her fitness career at Indiana University Recreational Sports. Heather is a certified ACSM Exercise Physiologist as well as a USA Weightlifting and USA Powerlifting Coach. She competes nationally in USA Powerlifting and has previously held records in Illinois for the Squat, Bench, and Total. She lives with her partner, Katie, and their rescue dog, Larry, in Lakewood.
