Colorado School of Mines Athletics

Jessica (Hoyt) Newman joined the Colorado School of Mines Sports Medicine staff as Assistant Athletic Trainer in the fall of 2014. 

She previously served as a graduate assistant at the University of Idaho, primarily overseeing volleyball and working secondary to the men’s and women’s track/cross country programs.

Newman earned a Master of Science degree in movement sciences from Idaho in 2014 and a Bachelor of Science in athletic training in 2012 at New Mexico State University, where she worked as a student athletic trainer with football, women’s soccer and softball.      

She presently resides with husband Brian in Golden.
