Mines vs. S.D. Mines, Saturday, 1 p.m. [Live Stats] [Video]

With the holidays now over, Mines returns to Golden for contests against Westminster and S.D. Mines to close out 2016.

LAST TIME OUT
Mines split their second straight RMAC weekend back on December 16-17. First, tied at 57-57 with mere seconds to go, Emily Bailey drove down the lane and hit the game winner to down rival MSU Denver. Bailey scored a career-high 23 points in the victory. The Orediggers then fell at UCCS, 73-65, as they were unable to slow down a hot shooting Mountain Lions squad.

BAILEY IS BALLIN'
Ever since the RMAC portion of the schedule began, Emily Bailey has been nearly unstoppable. The redshirt-sophomore from The Dalles, Ore. is averaging a league third-best 18.8ppg and shooting at a .479 clip. She is also pulling down 4.5 rebounds a contest, and is sixth in the conference at 1.2 blocks per game. Bailey has reached double digits in each outing which included 20-point plus outings in wins over CSC, SDSMT and MSUD.

SHARPSHOOTER
Cassidy Budge has become one of the RMAC's most feared long range shooters. The Colorado Springs native is third in the conference in both made three-pointers (33) and three-point field goal percentage (.391). Budge has nailed three, three-pointers or more in a game on eight occasions already this season.

MILESTONE REACHED
With the final bucket scored in regulation by the Orediggers in the 64-61 overtime victory at Black Hills State, Laura Tyree became the program's newest career 1,000-point scorer. Tyree is the first to reach the milestone since Angie Charchalis (2008-13) four seasons ago.

RECENT HISTORY
Friday's meeting with Westminster will only be the second ever meeting between the Orediggers and Griffins. Mines won the first ever meeting last season, 59-57, behind 15 points from Emily Bailey. The Orediggers have already defeated S.D Mines earlier this season in Rapid City by the final of 64-61 in overtime. Bailey scored 14 of her game-high 21 points in the second half and overtime.

SCOUTING WESTMINSTER
The Griffins roll into Golden an even 5-5 overall and 3-3 in RMAC action. Last time out, WC split a swing through southern Colorado as they won 84-75 at Adams State and fell 78-66 at Fort Lewis.  Sydnee Taylor is the team's top option as she is the conference's eighth leading scorer at 13.1 points per game.

SCOUTING S.D. MINES
The Hardrockers are currently 3-8 overall and 1-5 in league action. Their only win in conference play was a 71-60 victory over Colorado Christian. Megan Rohrer and Payton Humpal are the team's leading scorers at 9.3 and 9.2ppg, respectively.
