PUEBLO, Colo. -
Colorado School of Mines golf wrapped up its fall season by tying for third at the Farmers Insurance Samuel Proal Invitational, led by Tim Amundson's fourth-place finish.

The Orediggers went low with a -10 278 team score to end up at -17, but couldn't catch up to winner CSU Pueblo (-28) on their home course or a -10 day by second-place Texas A&M International (-23). Mines did catch Hutchinson CC (-17) to move up a spot from Monday, and finished 12 strokes up on fifth-place Colorado Christian and Colorado Mesa.

Tim Amundson led the way on Tuesday with a superb five-under 67, marking seven birdies in his round to move up to a fourth-place finish at -8. It marked Amundson's second straight top-five finish this fall as he made five of his birdies in a 10-hole opening stretch to rise up the leaderboard from 10th overnight.

Preston Smith and Ryan Hunter ended up at T14 (-3), as Smith shot 69 and Hunter held par at 72, while Jake Welch matched his career-low of 70 to move up to T16 (-2) in the final standings. Bradley Vu shot 79 to land at T55 (+12). Competing as an individual, Colin Dubnik shot an even-par 72 to end T29 at +1.
