TOMON'S TIME
The graduation of Courtney Martin left a major hole down low for the Orediggers that was going to be tough to overcome. Insert: Elizabeth Tomon. The junior from North Ogden, Utah has been a major revelation so far. Tomon is averaging team-bests in points (12.1) and rebounds (7.4) while shooting .479 from the field. She has produced two double-doubles and has posted new single-game career-bests in points (20) and rebounds (12).

SOME THINGS NEVER CHANGE
Just as they did last season, Mines is dominating the backboards again this season. The Orediggers are out-rebounding their opponents by nearly seven a game (45-to-38.3). They have also pulled down 109 offensive rebounds so far for an average of 15.6 per outing.

THE SERIES
This will be first ever meeting for Mines against either Florida Southern or Embry-Riddle.

SCOUTING FLORIDA SOUTHERN
Consistently one of the top programs in the nation, the Mocs are already off to a great start as they are 4-0 with notable victories over conference foes Saint Leo (72-54) and Rollins (63-51). Currently ranked fourth nationally, FSC is averaging 70 points per game and is shooting a collective .434 from the field. Florida Southern also has three players averaging more than 10 points per game with Jensen Blassage leading the way with 13.3ppg.

SCOUTING EMBRY-RIDDLE (ARIZ.)
The Eagles are already 5-4 in their inaugural season playing women's basketball. Embry-Riddle is averaging 66.4ppg and are conceding 56.9 points per outing. They have once went over the 100-point plateau in a 105-21 over Diné College. Danae Ruiz is the team's leading scorer at 11.8 points per game while Melissa Pfeiffer is averaging nine points and 9.4 rebounds.
