GOLDEN, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines went up big early and never looked back, routing UCCS 84-62 behind Nicole Archambeau's double-double.

The Orediggers (8-4, 5-1 RMAC) shot 52.6 percent as they started the game on a 16-6 run to shut down the Mountain Lions (2-9, 2-4 RMAC) before they even had a chance to get into the game.

Archambeau was terrific on both ends of the floor, shooting 9-for-12 for 23 points and adding 15 rebounds (13 defensive) to go with a steal. Anna Kollmorgen scored 11 with six assists, and the Mines bench produced 38 points led by Heidi Hammond and Courtney Stanton with eight apiece.

Mines held UCCS to 37.1 percent shooting and outrebounded them 40-33.

The Orediggers started off hot, taking a 16-6 lead after 10 straight points capped by Archambeau's layup gave them an early double-digit lead on the way to a 22-12 lead after one quarter. Five straight points from Kollmorgen began a second quarter that saw Mines outscore UCCS 23-11, with Archambeau's buzzerbeater to end the half summing it up with a 45-23 lead.

The Mines lead ballooned to as much as 33 points early in the fourth quarter as the bench got plenty of time, with no starter ending up having to play more than 23 minutes.

Mines will break for the holidays and return with a road game at Westminster on Dec. 30.
