Mines Stays Unbeaten In RMAC Play vs. SDSMT

GOLDEN, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines moved to 4-0 in RMAC play with a decisive 77-59 win over South Dakota Mines.

The red-hot Orediggers (7-3) won their fourth in a row behind a total team effort as Anna Kollmorgen scored 16 and Elizabeth Tomon notched a double-double.

Kollmorgen did a bit of everything, adding four steals, four assists, and five rebounds to her scoring, as Tomon scored 11 and pulled in 13 boards. Cassidy Budge scored 13 and Heidi Hammond produced 11 points off the bench.

Rebounding was the edge for Mines as they led 52-37, holding the Hardrockers (6-3, 2-2 RMAC) to 32.1 percent shooting.

Mines never trailed after the first basket, opening on an 11-5 run and pulling away at the end of the half to lead 37-25. SDSMT got the lead back to single digits early in the second half, but the decisive run for Mines came around the start of the fourth as they hit a 16-6 stretch - keyed by four three-pointers - to put the game away.

The Orediggers will return to action next Saturday, hosting MSU Denver at 1 p.m.
